My strong, positive feelings towards matching sets continues into summer. Moving on from the sweatpants & sweatshirt combinations and into shorts and short sleeve tops. Not going overboard with this trend seems difficult as I find myself obsessing over which set to try next. Amazon matching sets have been all the rage lately, so I finally ordered one and even chose a color versus my typical neutral palette. Risky business over here.
I’ve utilized Amazon for its deals and quick shipping for years now, but I just recently took the dive into exploring Amazon Fashion. Their selection can easily overwhelm my habit of browsing too long and so I try to stick to suggested items or The Drop collections which have great reviews.
Hesitations with Amazon Fashion
If you’re at all hesitant to order clothes from Amazon, I’m right there with you. I spend what feels like hour reading the reviews, looking at customer photos and watching blogger stories on Instagram. First, I don’t find it particularly convenient to return stuff to Amazon. Second, I know the quality can be sketchy sometimes, or has the reputation to be. But, with that being said, I’ve had pretty good luck with everything I’ve ordered thus far. The price point is very friendly and if you have a Prime membership, it comes to your door in two days. This Amazon world we live in gets crazier every day!
Amazon Matching Sets
I’m choosy when it comes to shorts. I like them a little longer and not too low-waist. That’s why I started with this green Amazon matching set. I loved the detail of the piping and the loose-fitting tee. The fabric is a little different, but I wasn’t surprised as I read the reviews (!!). Instead of a cotton material, it’s polyester and stretchy. Think tracksuit-type material but very light. Wrinkles won’t be an issue which is great for travel. I’m definitely packing it for our Marco Island getaway. The pale green color is something fun for me, and it sticks out in my closet. But it comes in five other colors, including a beige and black.
How to style a matching shorts set
The best thing about buying matching sets is it basically styles itself. Play around with tucking (I’m a huge French tuck fan), roll the sleeves, layer a sweatshirt or cardigan over it on chilly days. Then choose your footwear and boom, you’re done. I’m almost always in my Reebok sneakers these days and I’m into the casual feel they give to any look. You could easily dress up this set with braided slides or even a blazer. I’ll be styling this Amazon matching set all summer long, so stay tuned!
