The Chase Is On – Can You Still Find A Shacket?

The shacket trend. Wow. Took Instagram by storm, making it almost impossible to find one in stock and (gasp!) in the right size. Honestly, it’s still a struggle. The available ones are in select sizes only unless you miraculously find a newly restocked or just released beauty. From the very beginning of the craze, it’s been a shacket chase. But let’s talk… are these funny not-a-shirt, not-a-jacket things worth all the hype?

The simple answer is… YES.

And I was a true skeptic. The thing is, I’ve had some sort of “shacket” in my closet for a few years now and I’ve got to admit. I rolled my eyes a little when I first saw the craze take off. Then when I actually decided I wanted to jump on board, I found out about the chase. My husband adding this one to cart as soon as I said “I want this for Christmas.. hurry, it will sell out!” was my kismet moment that ultimately created a newfound obsession.

The shacket has definitely been reinvented in the most positive way. My favorite part of this confusing piece of clothing is the ease. I love that it adds something interesting to your outfit, provides warmth, but not bulk. I love that you can wear it outside or inside and not look like you didn’t take off your coat. The button front is fun, the plaid is a bonus. Although a solid color would be fantastic as well. And so versatile.

So do you need one? Better question… can you still get one? Well I will tell you, the chase is still on. But I rounded up a few shacket favorites below that are still in stock as of my most recent search. Select sizes, of course. The exact one I’m wearing is sold out (as predicted), but if I ever see it restocked, I’ll definitely share.

How do you feel about the shacket trend?
