A few weeks ago, we got brave enough to try dining out at a favorite restaurant in the city. Half capacity, we waited over an hour for a table, but man, it felt good to feel a tiny sense of normalcy. And actually get served food and wine. Man, I miss that! Then, for our anniversary, we braved another night out and it felt equally good. The common factor of both events? I wore nearly the exact same 3-piece ensemble.
Having not gone out to dinner in… let’s not actually count… I had no idea what to wear. I had swooped up this knit sweater vest from Zara mid-summer, immediately obsessed with the trend. No debut made, so I pulled it from the hanger and within 5 minutes, created this look. Outfits that come together without too much thought make me so happy.
This all comes full circle, I promise.
Thanksgiving is next week! What are you going to wear? Understandably, a lot of our celebrations will look different this year. But I’ve always been a big fan of dressing for the table on a holiday. If 2020 has taught us anything, it’s to make the most of the situations in front of us. This is truly a Thanksgiving outfit you can pull together from what you already have in your closet, promise. The vest is an added bonus for me, but it’s a great look without, too. Blazer, skinnies, boots, a blouse. You’re done.
Wearing a blazer puts a little extra pep in my step. I love the structure. I love how the silhouette elevates a look. Add a sweater vest and croc-embossed boots and I’m simply swooning. Don’t forget my favorite Banana Republic Sloan pants – I’ve worn the style for years and swear by them. Shop the look below!
