Everyone ok? What a doozy of a week. Again. I want to keep this simple. To be honest, I barely mustered the energy to sit down and write. This entire year could be labeled “the time I learned about true self-care” because I feel like we’re all reaching our limits in one way or another. Personally, I’ve been working hard on nailing down daily regimens to improve my day. Just within the past couple months I have really seen my routine come together and truly felt the benefits. I thought it was time to share.
Here are my
5
simple
daily
regimens
to have better days.
- Energizing stretch | Try dedicating just 5 minutes in the morning hours to get your blood flowing. Nothing crazy, just some energizing stretches like down dog or an active runners stretch. It tees up the day in a whole different way.
- Meditation | I use and swear by the Calm app. 10 minutes a day sounds easier said that actually done, but my days are better when I make time for it. And if meditation isn’t your thing, moments (or minutes!) of pure silence and breathing will do wonders.
- Let go of what you can’t control | Speaking of breathing, during those stress-releasing exhales, make sure to let go what you can’t control. It’s not worth worrying about right now, in a few minutes or even tomorrow.
- Fresh air | Nothing cures like Mother Nature herself. Get outside
- Hydrate | Drink all that water but don’t forget about your skin! Sounds kind of odd, but with dryer months upon us and hand sanitizer wreaking havoc on our hands, it’s important to keep your skin healthy too. You’ll feel so much better.
Stay well.
xoxo. B
