I have a feeling a lot of you are getting the itch to buy new boots for the season. Or if you’re not right now, you have recently. It’s boot season! My personal favorite. Which is why I have a stack of boots waiting for me in my closet. And also why I’m eyeing new pairs – per usual.
The trends this season have me drooling a little bit. Think lots of combat-style chunky boots. Lower heels, classic materials and colors. Even the more eclectic looks feel wearable and almost… timeless. Maybe that’s not the right word, but regardless, I’ve put together a fun boot edit I think you’ll enjoy. Definitely not a comprehensive list of all the trends. These are just the ones I’m truly loving and plan to indulge in.
THE BOOT EDIT
Chunky Sole
Lug sole, Chelsea boots, combat, chunky… it all works. Whatever you want to call it, they make a statement regardless. I love this relaxed style coming in hot versus heeled options because we all know this winter may be one for staying home. But when we do get to venture out, we can at least look a little put together while still be comfortable. I personally own these Chelsea boots from Asos and I know they will be my go-to once the weather cooperates.
The Classics
Ah, the riding boot. This classic boot style is key when creating a quintessential fall look. I’m a big fan of investing in a good quality leather pair with simple details versus a trendy version. This way they uphold for a few seasons and you can update your collection elsewhere. My personal favorite from personal experience – the Sam Edelman Penny.
Cold Weather
Winter is coming. And when those first snowflakes fly, I immediately grab my Sorel boots. Last winter, I snagged these Sorel sneakers and they are hands down amazing. So warm, comfy and keep my feet dry. I’m pretty loyal to Sorel, but I’m also eyeing Timberlands for this winter. They combine the chunky look with performance – it’s a win-win.
Square Toe
A trend gaining speed from last fall. The square toe boot. Yup, I definitely have a closet full of pointed-toe and rounded-toe options. Must I add the square? Too bad for me, I absolutely love all the styles I come across. Including this fun burgundy pair from Topshop. They’ll look perfect under wide leg denim with a cropped sweater. Ok, I guess I need to add to the collection.
Do you have your eye on any new boots this season?
xoxo. B
