The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale gets me pumped up for fall shopping every year. Except this year. I’ve had no ambition to dive into the depths of Nordstrom’s website just to find a good deal. I just don’t need anything. But of course, as the sale opened to the public today, curiosity got the best of me & I spent approximately 20 minutes (nap time, yay!) looking through the selection. The inventory and variety is extremely low compared to past years. I’m not sure if early access members shopped more or if Nordstrom added less to the sale. Either way, I wasn’t disappointed. The experience was much less stressful.
In my elementary Nordstrom Anniversary Sale experience, I find you get the best deals on shoes, Nordstrom brand items and baby gear. If you’re a Topshop fan, some items are slashed more than 50% which also makes for a great buy.
My single Nordstrom Anniversary Sale purchase
I saw it, I bought it. No hesitations. This faux leather Topshop blazer was impossible to resist for under $50! Leather isn’t going anywhere this fall. I fell in love with the trend this past spring and I’m excited to see it sticking around. I’ll use this blazer as an everyday light fall jacket and wear it over cozy sweaters as the weather cools down. If the leather look isn’t your thing, Nordstrom still has a great denim option available that I’m sharing below. Either one could work as a great fall and winter staple.
Other sale finds
A denim jacket, the coziest pajamas I’ve ever worn (bought last year), the ever-amazing Zella leggings (usually buy every year, but skipping this time), necessary combat boots (under $60) & discounted Vejas if you’re into that craze. Simple, quality items at good prices.
A note on baby items
We scored our Nuna Mixx stroller and Nuna Pipa carseat/base during the Nordstrom sale last year. Best decision ever. We can’t say enough great things about our stroller and carseat combo. If you’ve ever shopped for quality baby gear, you know getting both for under $900 is truly a miracle. This sale is such a great time to buy baby gear & baby gifts!
