Where I'm Shopping For Maternity Clothes

Ok, ok, it’s officially time to succumb to maternity clothes. I’ve been wearing maternity pants for a few months now, but have been lucky enough to utilize loose summer dresses and casual tops with extra room. I’m still not full-on maternity shopping – I’ll size up when needed or find pieces that stretch and give. But no matter how long I try to avoid it, I can’t escape the maternity section forever. Thankfully I’ve found some pretty great places to shop for maternity clothes.

Two things before you shake your head at me too much. (One) After finding out I was pregnant, I knew right away sacrificing my personal style would be a huge issue for me. If I’m not comfortable in what I’m wearing, it just won’t work. Even if I’m not trying to impress anyone or dress up, I’m still very picky about my clothes & where I buy them. (Two) Since I’m due in late November, I wanted to avoid having to invest in two season’s worth of maternity clothes. I figure pants are worth the investment any time of year, but tops and dresses could be stretched until the fall weather rolls in. This September heat wave we’re having isn’t helping things.

I could go on and on…

…about my frustrations with maternity clothes and the selection out there. There’s got to be a solution without breaking the bank… right? Not only are mamas-to-be navigating pregnancy, they’re navigating how to go from waist line to no waist line in a matter of weeks. Ugh. I’ll save the rest of my rant for a rainy day. The point is, I’ve logged a lot of hours “window” shopping online for maternity clothes. And truly, Asos has become my #1 go-to for everything. Including this super fun top I’m wearing here. But I’ve found great items at a few other retailers as well, so I’ve included my comprehensive list of where I’m shopping for maternity clothes below.
