I’ve been trying not to talk about how fast time is flying… because really, what are we going to about it? However, the fact that the calendar turns to August tomorrow is absolutely insane. How?! Which also doesn’t mean we get to slow down and enjoy the rest of summer. Enjoy, yes, but with our schedule, this month will be the fastest yet. We have a couple fun events (a very special one, in fact – hush, hush) and our Maine getaway to look forward to. Needless to say, I’ve got vacation on my mind.
18 days until we escape to Maine!
Along with shopping for all the things for our little man – the list keeps growing – I’m also trying to figure out a vacation wardrobe. Oh, and this bump keeps growing alongside that list so I’m starting to navigate those changes. Although I’ve gotten pretty lucky so far with easy midi dresses, stretchy-waist culottes and loose-fitting shorts, I’m starting to feel the stretch. I’ve got some actual maternity clothes on order, but I’ve scored some great non-maternity items at one retailer in particular. Old Navy, of course! That’s where I scored this adorable striped linen tunic that is #1 on my packing list for the northeast coast.
Not only are Old Navy prices unbeatable, but they carry such versatile, casual pieces. A lot of them are loose fitting – my go-to regardless of being pregnant – like this adorable cheetah print dress I told you about. The linen tunic is something I simply could not pass up. The light fabric will be great for warm or cool weather. It can be worn with shorts as seen here (& also from Old Navy) or as a swim cover-up on the beach. The perfect piece to have along when you’re not quite sure what the weather will do & where stripes seem like the most obvious choice. It also comes in white and a couple other solid colors – do I need them all?
Maine, we’re coming for ya!
Do I look ready for vacation or what? Take me now!

I’ve never been to Maine, but this is pretty much what I envision everyone wearing there so you’re going to look perfect! 😉
Just sayin’,
