You guys… the summer heat this week is real. I guess it makes sense for mid-July in the heartland. Even so, it takes my breath away every time I step outside. I wish I could say we’re truly hibernating this week, but of course it’s one of the busiest yet. At least for me. So, I’m pulling out all my hot, hot weather outfits for after-work activities. Gotta stay cool & comfortable. This striped romper from my new favorite boutique, Darling Daylight, definitely makes the cut.
Want to know why I’m convinced this is the most perfect summer romper? Well.. for one, neutral stripes are always a good choice for these sunny days. For two, my bump was just starting to pop when I took these photos and it still stretched & adjusted to fit perfectly. The smocked back allows for give around the waist. The adjustable straps are perfect for all different lengths (my torso is sometimes too long for rompers and I loved being able to adjust). And I mean, isn’t the design just perfect? The ruffle detail on the shorts and again… those stripes.
I shouldn’t isolate this striped romper to only steaming, hot weather either. While it’s great for this week, a white blazer would be the perfect match for a chic late summer look. Or a denim jacket and booties for an early fall weekend outfit. Bottom line.. you need it!
