Oh, those amazing days when you wake up and literally nothing in your closet feels right. Sometimes I’ll stay in my robe until I’m forced out the door because I’m so stubborn. I absolutely hate the feeling of “nothing to wear”. And this time of year is usually the worst. So, what have I come up with to solve that issue? Blazer outfits. More specifically: denim, a graphic tee, boots or sneakers and a blazer to top it all off.
Why a blazer? For one, they have become one of the most essential items to add to your closet. For two, a structured blazer instantly elevates an outfit to look effortless and put together all at the same time. My collection has grown over the past year – I added this amazing rust-colored corduroy option this past fall. I found this plaid one on an in-store sale rack at H&M for $13. And the one I’m wearing here, I found at Target & it truly kicked off my obsession with blazers.
Graphic tees are rising in popularity this year – everything 90s is back (tie-dye included). So along with my growing blazer collection, I’m also stocking up on interesting tees. My favorites include band tees, throwback logos, ironic TV and movie poster shirts and ones with simple silhouettes or sayings. Any and all are great additions to any closet right now. I think it’s fun to throw one under a blazer for a cool-casual look. I’ve worn this combination to work with black pants and out to dinner exactly how you see it here. It’s an easy, put-together outfit that can really go anywhere.
I’ve linked some great blazers and graphic tees below. All affordable and all making great additions for year-round outfit options. Yes, it could be argued I’ve bought enough, but I’ll admit I have my eye on a beige blazer for summer. So versatile!
Do you love blazer outfits as much as me?

I’ve been on the hunt for a blazer to add to my closet for the spring! And, I love how you paired it with a graphic tee. Fun fact: I used to live in band tees (think Dashboard Confessional, Something Corporate …) in high school, and now I’m kicking myself that I got rid of them. Everything old really does become new again, I guess!

OMG we are seriously soul mates! Dashboard Confessional, Something Corporate, Yellowcard… all of those were always on my playlist. I had one band tee back then.. I’m trying to add some more to my closet! It’s crazy seeing some of the trends come back. Are we that old ?!
