Spring Favorites From Asos Under $100

Can we all agree this time of year is the worst? I know I’m a little cynical because the snow is melting, but Iowa officially hit the annual ugly stage this week. We’ve had rain and melting snow which results in muddy yards and messy streets. I hate it. Not to mention, it’s the hardest time of year to style outfits. Spring is the worst. Sorry, not sorry. But in an effort to be more optimistic about spring outfits, and the change of seasons in general, I went “window” shopping. Online that is.

Alongside having a hard time styling, I tend to have a hard time shopping between February and April. I don’t typically dump a bunch of money into my spring wardrobe since the weather never seems to be consistent. Then summer quickly arrives and I’m onto shorts and tanks. However, after perusing new arrivals at Asos, I’ve decided my spring outfits have a fighting chance. Not only do they have all the trends I’m eyeing, but they all fall well under $100 (a lot under $50). So, I figured I’d share the details on these amazing items. A lot of basics to get through the transition, plus a few trends to invest in for summer, too.

Spring Outfits

Shirts – Sweatshirts – Jackets

If there was ever a time to stock up on basic tees, graphic tees, crewneck sweatshirts & even graphic sweatshirts, it’s now. Cool, laid-back west coast style will be everywhere this spring and summer. Pair a plain beige crewneck with plaid work pants and sneakers for a weekend look. Layer a graphic tee under a blazer for casual Friday (or any day depending on your office vibe). Everyone always needs a good white tee, so make sure you’re stocked up. Also, if you’re looking for spring jackets, head straight for a pastel-colored rain jacket. They’re having a moment. Or put your neutral blazer to work as outerwear while the weather is chilly.

Midi Dresses – Statement Pants

Although I still love a good mini skirt or knee-length dress, I’m all about the midi-length. It’s been around for a few seasons now, so if you haven’t hopped on the midi train, do it now. I’m especially loving the button up, v-neck styles. The one I’m wearing above is actually from H&M, but I found a couple on Asos that I can’t resist. As for pants, the options out there right now are endless. Cropped, wide leg, plaid, contrast-stitched, high-waist, you name it. And I’m here for it. I wear pants to work almost daily and I love being able to switch things up. Pair them when your plain or graphic tees and booties and you’re spring outfits will look instantly fresh.

Snake Print – Relaxed Jumpsuits

Snake print has been flooding Instagram for months now, so I’d be shocked if you’re not familiar with this trend. My personal favorite way to wear the print is in dress form or boot form. However, the satin skirt I linked below is gorgeous. I also just picked up a snake print tee I’m anxious to style. I promise it’s not as intimidating a it may look! Just rock it with neutral shoes & accessories. As for jumpsuits, they’re as hot as ever. The relaxed fit has become more popular and I’m all about the olive green one I found on Asos. Layer it up for spring & then wear it to all those awesome outdoor events in the summer.

Do you like shopping for spring outfits?
