Fourteen days until the official first day of spring, and I’m not going to lie… I’ve been a little oblivious. I’m personally more excited for daylight savings time this weekend. Late sunsets anyone? So ready! Anyway, I need to get with it and accept that spring is just around the corner (I promise I’m not getting into my issues with this in-between season again). Contrary to past years, I’ve actually had some good luck shopping lately. The sales have been great & since it’s still freezing around here, I’m taking advantage of this new black fuzzy sweater.
If you’re like me and aren’t into a ton of bright colors and floral prints for spring, there are other ways to lighten up outfits up for the new season. Monochromatic looks have been the rage on the runways and on the streets and it’s fantastic if you ask me. I’ve been seeing a lot of layered khaki & pastel tones, but I’m sticking with black for now. My “trick” to pulling off an all black outfit for spring? Add a pop of pink & have fun with textures.
I instantly fell in love with this fuzzy sweater from Mango when I saw it. Seriously, if I could just stock my wardrobe with Mango, I would. Lucky for me, the sale price for this fuzzy number was right. It’s sold out now, but I’ve linked similar options below. I love how the sweater texture contrasts with the straight black denim. Then the wool beret, velvet booties and textured shoulder bag add their own elements. Berets are also having a moment – who could resist?
