In case you hadn’t noticed, it’s February now and Valentine’s Day is next week. I know a lot of people thought January creeped by, but I (as always) feel like it flew. Anyway… with it being heart month and February 14th at the center of attention right now, I feel like everyone is talking about date nights. Rightfully so. Whether it’s girl’s night out (I’m in!) or a romantic dinner for two, you’ll need the right outfit. And this snake print dress is my #1 pick.
For the record, I’ve been hunting for the perfect snake print dress for months. When animal print hit big this past fall, I immediately decided on a few pieces I needed – remember this leopard skirt and my favorite boots. A printed dress was one of those items. But I could never find the perfect one. They were either higher than my preferred price point or the silhouette didn’t work or the print wasn’t exactly what I wanted. That all changed with this perfect v-neck, belted, snake print dress from H&M.
I don’t wear belted dresses very often, so I was extremely skeptical of how I’d like this one. For some reason, I took the chance (probably because of that $35 price tag!) and instantly loved it when I put it on. The fabric is light, the length is midi and can be styled different ways. The belt lays nice and is adjustable. And the snake print is so fun. I’m not big on busy patterns, but this is just perfection. Plus, remember when I talked about building a functional wardrobe? Well, this stunner will be great for work and so fun for date night or a girls weekend.
As for those accessories, I have to let you know the boots are at least 8 years old. I got them in college and have held on to them because they’re comfortable and a good basic black heeled boot. Gotta love oldies but goodies! I’ve linked a couple great similar options below. The purse is available at Target (on sale!) and I layered a few delicate gold necklaces from my collection.
This look is so fool-proof, they’ll all think it took 3 hours to get ready. When really, it’s a throw-it-on-and-look-fabulous combination.

Okay I know that this is supposed to be a date night look (which it’s perfect for), but you look like a badass girl boss! Just goes to show that it would work both at work and out on the town. Love it!
