Here’s something I don’t buy very often – denim shorts. Actually, it has been quite a few years since I invested in a pair, so I bit the bullet a couple weeks ago. Right before this pair went on sale. Figures. But there’s no turning back now, because I’m definitely not utilizing the return label. Although I purchased and now rave about these perfect Topshop denim shorts, I can’t take credit for finding them. Brittany from The Britt Kit posted her love for them on her ‘gram and considering I’m obsessed with everything that girl wears, I went for it.
And good thing I did…
…because I am also obsessed. These Topshop denim shorts are high-waist, somewhat stretchy and so comfortable. I’ve barely taken them off since opening the package and they seem to get better the more I wear them. If you’re looking for an updated pair of denim shorts with a distressed look, I highly recommend! Plus, Nordstrom has this pair marked down 30% right now, making them under $40. Seriously… does it get any better?
I originally wanted to pair these with a classic white top for you all. Isn’t white & denim just the best summer combo? So classic. But instead, I stumbled upon this printed olive green tank from LOFT and immediately loved it. Unlike white tops (which I have plenty of), this tank added a little depth to my summer wardrobe. I love the simple print and how the v-neck isn’t too low. LOFT tops are usually all about comfort and that holds true here. Plus, it will carry perfectly into fall under cozy cardigans and boyfriend blazers. Just kidding, let’s not about fall yet!

I just might have to look at these denim shorts for myself! I swear by AE shorts/jeans, but these look so comfortable. There’s a dress that I want from Loft in that exact pattern – it really will transition well between the seasons!

Yes, I highly recommend! I wasn’t sure how the high waist would be on me, but I’m loving it! And that pattern would be perfect in a dress! I can’t believe it’s almost time to “transition” to the next season – let’s not think about it! 😉
