Maybe you’ll be surprised when you find out where this entire outfit is from. Maybe you’re ahead of the game and won’t be at all. But I will certainly admit my surprise in this whole ordeal. Ok, no ordeal. Simply a brand new outfit from a retailer I haven’t frequented since circa 2008. Ten years later, American Eagle is rockin’ my world once again. I’ve seen so many good things about AEO lately – ladies of all ages claiming they’ve come miles from their sweatshirts and denim. And although their denim still looks great, the retailers’ selection has grown into something for everyone. And after a successful online experience (when I bought these slides & my new favorite one-piece suit), I figured I should check out their in-store selection. To my surprise, I found these American Eagle floral culottes & this oh-so-soft simple tee. Basically a summer outfit of my dreams and one that looks starkly different from my American Eagle outfits ten years ago.

I’ve really stocked up on fun pants this year – my tropical pair, the striped ruffle hem pair, and now these. Plus I have some from past seasons. I almost skipped these American Eagle floral culottes because my selection has grown so much, but I’m glad I didn’t. Again with me and my dark floral, I’m looking forward to styling these causally and dressing them up for summer events. Culottes are a great alternative when you don’t want to wear shorts but you also want to stay cool and comfortable. Light fabric and a loose silhouette make these trending pants perfect for the summer heat. Almost every retailer I frequent has an impressive selection this season, priced high and low, so I highly recommend trying a pair.
