I won’t lie to you – I got this red satin top in the extra clearance section at Nordstrom Rack. It was one of those days where I probably went in for a pair of flats and came out with this bright top & club-appropriate heels. Ok, no… I didn’t buy heels, but you get the picture. I was immediately drawn to the shiny orange-y red color and since it’s so different from everything in my closet, I knew I couldn’t leave without it.
Technically what I’m calling a red satin top is actually a red satin mini dress. However, I decided to combine three favorite trends in one outfit this time around. One, the color red. Two and three, a mini dress over skinnies and white booties. I have been eyeing white boots for quite some time & when I found this pair (also) on sale, I wasn’t about to pass them up. Surprisingly, I have already found multiple occasions to wear them, so I highly recommend a pair for spring!
My Color Crush
I know I’ve spent most of the winter in neutral outfits, which I always love, but red has grabbed my attention this spring and I can’t seem to get enough. All of a sudden, my Instagram feed is full of red outfits and I’ve found so many pieces online, I can’t decide between them. Red culottes – necessary? Very possible. Even though I wasn’t expecting to see red trending this spring, I’ve enjoyed crushing on such a bold color.
