When the Iowa weather decides to treat us with a taste of spring at the end of February, we take advantage. No, I’m never really ready to say goodbye to winter, but after an entire week of sleet and ice, I’ll take sunshine and warmth. the snow has disappeared anyway. And since the jean jacket and sneakers I recently ordered arrived, I got a little anxious for new spring outfits. Does anyone else find it difficult to find good jean jackets for women? It’s most likely my picky taste in fit, but I’ve always struggled to find one that works for me. So when something about this H&M jacket stuck out to me, I pulled the trigger.

…I finally have a jean jacket in my collection. My personal preferences favor the longer silhouette, plus I struggle finding sleeves long enough and miraculously these are perfect. I wanted a versatile jean jacket for almost any occasion, including work, so I stayed away from something too distressed. I also prefer a looser fit without looking too sloppy. See why this search has been a bit tricky? Oh… and let’s keep the price manageable. At $50, this H&M pick seriously checked all the boxes. I’ll sport this particular combination, with my favorite Banana Republic Sloan pants, to work or for a weeknight dinner. It’d also be great for a spring day trip. Winery anyone?
I’ve been keeping my outfits pretty neutral lately, so adding a pop of color with pink metallic sneakers & floral earrings adds a touch a spring to the look. This proves how accessories can really bring an outfit together – something I’m still practicing. With a new season rolling in, I am anxious to switch things up and experiment.
