the not-so-boring basic sweater.

Remember when I said simple outfits during the holiday season keep me sane?  Or something like that.  Well, I’m back with another basic, but fun, ensemble.  Fun, thanks to this cozy bell sleeve sweater I scored at Nordstrom Rack.  Oh, and those velvet pink booties I snagged there too.  I went in for flats and came out with a sweater and heels – does that happen to anyone else?  Regardless, I’m not exaggerating when I say this bell sleeve sweater is the coziest top in my closet at the moment.  The material is so soft and the fit is loose without being too boxy and baggy.  And with a $25 price tag, you can’t go wrong.

So with my new favorite sweater on, I grab my go-to Sloan pants from Banana Republic.  You’ve seen them before, and I’m still wearing them multiple times a week.  Which reminds me, I need a second pair.  The fit of the Sloan can’t be beat, with stretch fabric and skinny ankle, they can be worn with boots or flats for the office or casual.  As for the pink velvet booties… well, I couldn’t pass them up, could I?

In other news, Christmas is two weeks from today!  I am done shopping, almost done wrapping, and one holiday party down, one to go.  Now, if we could get some snow, I would really be ready.
