my top picks from the loft sale.

With Thanksgiving only two weeks away (what?!), it means the holiday season is… here.  I mean, it is, so let’s accept it.  But, one exciting thing about the year end creeping closer is all the retail sales.  And when a Loft sale showcases 40% off everything – with code “HAPPY” – a little happy dance is appropriate.  Sweaters, festive tops, comfortable dresses and a few trendy pieces – you can load up for the holiday season during this Loft sale.  So, naturally, here are my top picks.

Lace Mock Neck Top

How gorgeous is this lace top?  This isn’t something I commonly pick out, but there’s something about the mock neck, sleeve length and overall detail that has me crushing.  It also comes in a beautiful green color that is perfect for the holiday season.  Wear this with a leather skirt or under a moto jacket for added elegance.

Sweater Blouse

I actually bought this sweater during Loft’s last sale, and I absolutely love it.  The bell sleeve is just enough detail without being over the top.  Plus, you really can’t beat a good black sweater.  It will, no doubt, be my go-to all winter – perfect for the office, a family get-together or anything in between.

Sequin Shift Skirt

Typically, I save the sequins for holiday parties and NYE.  And even though this mini would be perfect for both, the olive color tones down the sequins making it appropriate for date night or girls night out, too.  I’m dreaming about pairing it with a chunky cable knit sweater or a soft velvet top and of course, ankle booties.

Plaid Double Breasted Blazer

Finally, this season has brought out some of the best blazer options I’ve seen yet.  And this double-breasted option is at the top of my list. The plaid pattern is great for the fall/winter season and the neutral palette will allow for versatility.  Wear it to the office with black ankle pants or with boyfriend jeans and sneakers.

Blouson Flare Dress

Anyone else searching for one of those basic dresses that will last a couple years and through a couple seasons?  I’m desperate to update my dress selection and am in love with this long-sleeved option.  Those buttons on the sleeve are just an added bonus.  Picture it with boots and tights for winter and nude mules in the spring.  So simple and cute!
