The October weather in Iowa has been so up and down, I feel like I haven’t had a chance to really embrace fall fashion. Either too hot for sweaters, or too cold for my new favorite mules. So, before October ends, I need to share at least one quintessential fall outfit, don’t you think? And the perfect J Crew plaid skirt is helping me do just that.
For whatever reason, I had my mind set on finding a specific plaid skirt this season. I wanted it above the knee, a-line, and not form-fitting. An easy skirt to wear to work, dinner, holidays and during general fun fall activities. While browsing J Crew Factory, I found this navy blue, yellow and white plaid mini and couldn’t say no. The best part? Only $35! I absolutely love the J Crew brand, and when I can find deals like this at their factory store, I’m beyond happy.
As for the rest of the outfit – they are all last year’s pieces. The fur-trim cardigan (my favorite) is Banana Republic and the block-heel boots are Aldo. Mixing fur and plaid is a fall must and I couldn’t resist adding knee-high socks under the boots for extra detail. I’ve linked the plaid skirt and similar items below!
