Ok, ok… I know most of you are looking forward to spring so much that your shopping efforts are focused on skirts and wedges. But, with a snow storm rolling through the Midwest this weekend after more than a week of above 50 degree weather, there’s no better reminder that winter is sticking around.
Since we’ll bundle up once again and will most likely stay that way for a few weeks to come, it reminded me this is the perfect time of year to shop for a new coat. Sound odd? Hear me out. Have you been crushing on a warm parka or a draped wool coat all season but hated the price tag? Or do you want a trench coat to transition into rainy spring days with? Right now, retailers are looking to clear that cold weather inventory, so you can find fabulous outerwear for upwards of 60% off! A $360 jacket for $129 is something to celebrate. Especially for one who’s slightly addicted to outerwear.
In the Midwest at least, it’s almost guaranteed we can get a couple more uses out of it yet this season, and then it’s fresh and ready to go when the weather strikes again later in the year. And trust me, you will be just as excited to pull it out of the closet next year as the day it arrived on your door step.
