la la land.

I watched La La Land this weekend.  Finally.  Have you seen it?

Well, I’m obsessed.  Along with the rest of the world, and I’d see it again in a heartbeat.

My husband and I aren’t big on Valentine’s Day.  The first year we dated, our celebrations were more grandeur, but in the years since – 6 to be exact – we’ve  found ourselves having more fun cooking together at home.  The least romantic thing in our minds is an overcrowded restaurant on one of the most overrated days of the year.

The only way he’ll get me out of the house this year is if we can go see La La Land again…    please?

One of my favorite things about the movie was Emma Stone’s wardrobe.  A musical involves lots of dancing, so in most scenes she was in these amazing dresses with flowing skirts and dramatic necklines.  Talk about Valentine’s Day outfit inspiration if you have plans.  Or even if you don’t.

For this look, I pulled old items out of my closet and had so much fun playing dress up.  Similar products are linked below.

What are your plans for Valentine’s Day?

I just saw it this weekend too! And now I know what the hype was all about, such a sweet (yet kind of sad) movie! But you’re so right about Emma Stone’s outfits, they make me want to go out and get something flowy just so I can twirl around in it! I love the outfit you created inspired by the movie, so perfect!! Go get your twirl on!!

I love your outfit, you look great! 🙂 Am I obsessed with La La Land? Not at all, I’ve only watched it twice and forced my boyfriend to learn to play the songs on his guitar!

Thanks so much! And that’s amazing – I would love to hear the songs on the guitar… obsessed with the soundtrack!
