You’ve read about life on a boat for a week and all the activities we were able to do and experience, but it would be impossible for me to write a description of everything we did and loved during our British Virgin Islands sailing trip. It was just that good.
Instead, I’ve provided my top 5 list of must see and do in the British Virgin Islands at the end of this post. Keep in mind, we were hardly able to do everything the islands offer, so the list is based on our route and experience only. If you’ve ever visited, I’d love to hear your favorite part, so leave a comment below!
Top: Target | Skirt: Mango (similar here and here) | Sandals: Old Navy | Sunnies: Quay
Top 5 – British Virgin Islands
- Soggy Dollar Bar – Jost Van Dyke | home of the original painkiller and the perfect place to spend a day drinking and sunbathing.
- The Baths – Virgin Gorda | the rock caves are something out of Pirates of the Caribbean and the scenery at the top of the hike is unmatched.
- Bitter End – Virgin Gorda | the one spot we extended our stay at – located at the very east tip of V.G. and the calm bay makes it perfect for any water sport.
- “Corona Island” – Jost Van Dyke | actually called Sandy Spit, located right off the coast of Jost Van Dyke and where Corona has filmed some commercials. You’ll understand why when you see it – uninhabited pristine beach with the bluest waters we saw. Grab a cooler and enjoy some sun.
- Sailing/Boat Tour– BVIs | no matter what, get out on the water, whether for a couple hour cruise or a whole day or overnight. The views are stunning and I believe these islands are best experienced from the water.

That skirt is absolutely perfect for the Islands, so beautiful, like yourself!!! And I love the palm trees, something about palm trees just always makes me feel good….maybe because it means there’s warm weather 😉
