Today is the day. My first post on Agnes Wright went up one year ago!
One year?!
I could ramble on about everything I’ve learned this year, but while attempting to write that lengthy post in my head, I realized it’s not always about what I’ve learned so far, it’s about what I have yet to learn and how I’m going to continue on this journey. Of course, taking time to reflect is what can propel you into the future so instead of a list of do’s and don’ts in your first year of blogging, I only have three simple words of advice.
GO FOR IT.
One year ago, I had no idea what would happen when I reluctantly clicked “publish” on the first set of words I’d put out in the world. Then, it took me a couple more days to tell anyone I actually did it. But you know what the best part was? I didn’t ask anyone’s permission, I didn’t tell anyone my plan – ok, besides T who was sitting next to me on the couch – and I didn’t need anyone to tell me if it was good enough or not. I put myself out there, honest and true, and one year later this space has morphed into my happy place.
Now, on a lighter note, I thought this celebration went perfectly with sharing my Christmas list! I lined this blogiversary up nicely with a giving time of year, and maybe I’ll choose one of these to wrap for myself. Can’t deny that happens sometimes.
Hooded Robe – Topshop | BP Buckle Knit Pullover – Nordstrom | Radalie Parka – Patagonia | 1964 Leather Boot – Sorel | Cravings by Chrissy Teigen | Sephora Gift Card | Muse Sunglasses – Quay Australia | Cotton Quilt Pullover – Patagonia | Planner – Kate Spade | Celestial Choker – Stella and Dot | French Oven – Le Creuset
Yes, really all I need to be happy are sweaters, boots and food. I’ve been eyeing Sorel boots for over a year, and finally found a pair to ask Santa for. And I always appreciate receiving a cozy sweater or warm coat to get through the chilly winter!
If you read my review on Cravings this past summer, my love for the recipe book by Chrissy Teigen is no secret. I borrowed it from a friend to read and look through and it’s been on my list ever since!
A Sephora gift card is always something I appreciate as well. I’m a regular there, purchase all my make up there and am looking for an upgrade on my brushes.
What’s on your Christmas list?
xoxo. a

A year full of posts- so awesome; wishing many more posts and years to come!! I have Chrissy Teigan’s cookbook! I mean aside from the pictures she has in there that are to die for, I absolutely love it. But to be brutally honest, I haven’t make one thing from it! *insert embarrassed face here* A lot of her recipes are quite complex with an exception to few and for me I’m typically exhausted by the time I get home from work so cooking up something intricate is not on my list of things to do lol But I think shes coming out with another one soon and she mentioned that the recipes will be either quicker, easier, and perhaps with less ingredients and materials so I’m totally on the lookout for that one! But I love her (and John, and baby Luna) so I support anything she comes out with!! Wishing that you get all thats on your list 🙂
xo, JJ

I can’t wait to see what she comes out with next! I think I was so distracted by her funny stories throughout it that I forgot to read the recipes 🙂
