Every morning during my drive to work, the radio is turned to Elvis Duran and the Morning Show. Their banter about daily issues and comedic relief always starts my day off right. Today, not surprisingly, they were talking about Thanksgiving and traditions across the country. The show is based in NYC and the discussion involved many people going out to eat this Thursday instead of cooking at home. In a city where square footage is the enemy, I can see why it would be more convenient and probably more relaxing with little to no clean up and maybe a tad more elbow room.
However, being from the Midwest, this is almost unheard of. Our day revolves around the kitchen, guests helping out where they can, then a big meal, clean up, a nap, games and maybe even leftovers before everyone goes to bed. And if you’re married or have two families, you may be eating a homemade meal two or three times before the day is over. Which calls for strategic outfit planning, right? Ok, maybe not strategic, but definitely comfortable.
Two things to keep in mind – we will be eating a lot and we will want to relax at some point. This printed tunic from Zaful may be the perfect solution this Thanksgiving as we’re traveling and eating multiple times. Loose fitted, yet cute and trendy with colorful embroidery and a lace up v-neck. I paired it with denim and boots, but it would also work great with leggings. Even more room for the food!
Top: Zaful | Denim: Gap | Boots: Aldo (similar here) | Hat: Target
What are your Thanksgiving traditions?

The way you matched the tunic with the hat and boots is to die for! I love the combination. I don’t have many Thanksgiving traditions other than the typical get together with family, say our graces, and eat! Although it is my favorite holiday! Hope yours is fantastic!! Cheers!
