the container store.

One of the greatest things about living in a growing city like Des Moines, is the excitement when a large retail chain finally decides to open a store in our community!  I was thrilled when The Container Store reached out to me to attend their blogger preview party this week.  Before their grand opening on Saturday, we got a sneak peek of their magnificent space, learned a lot about their company history, employee culture and all their wonderful products.  And with it being so close to the holidays, we were also blessed with a gift-wrapping and bow-making tutorial that will absolutely up my gifting game this year!  Thank you, Greg!

If you’ve never been to The Container Store, I highly recommend it.  Yes, the isles are full of empty containers, but also so much more.  Did you know there is a solution for your messy shoe closet?  Or that you’re wasting space by not using the back of your laundry and pantry doors?  If not, stop by and talk to one of these organizational geniuses, or simply stroll through their full-size closet displays that will have you thinking your third bedroom is really just a waste of space.  They also have some of the best wrapping paper, Christmas bags, ribbons, stocking stuffers and obviously the perfect gift for your OCD family member.  So, if you’re in the Des Moines area, make plans to stop by this weekend! They will be open Saturday and Sunday and 10% of their profits from the weekend will be going to Variety – the Children’s Charity  so it’s a win-win for all!  Time to make a list…

We received the cutest gift bag upon our departure from the wonderful event.  It was full of the necessities for gift wrapping and I cannot wait to use them.  The paper cutter, tape roller, neat roll and gift cards are perfect small gifts or stocking stuffers!

Have you ever been to The Container Store?

xoxo.  a

No way thats what a Container Store looks like inside?!?! I had no idea. I’ve driven past a Container store many of times and I never really think to ever stop and go inside of one, but ummm after seeing your pictures thats literally my type of store. Jeez, who would’ve thought!! I was literally thinking it was going to be filled with different types of Tupperware haha very naive of me i guess lmao
