When looking for a place to stay while traveling, there are a couple of priorities my husband and I have. Location and good reviews. We want to be close to most, if not all the attractions we plan on seeing and we don’t want to get there and be disappointed in service, the room, etc. The main sites I use to search for hotels and reviews are Expedia and Trip Advisor, one for location, price and deals and the latter for reviews and traveler photos.
Toronto has so many hotel options, especially in the heart of downtown where all the action is. We ended up booking at The Omni King Edward Hotel located in the financial district. Not ever being to the city before, we judged everything on research, and it payed off. The Omni King is one of Toronto’s oldest hotels and with recent renovations, everything about it is beautiful and immaculate, including the spacious rooms. Furthermore, immediately upon checking in, the service was great. The concierge was very helpful with our tourist needs and the front desk sent up complimentary dessert for our anniversary celebration. After long days of walking around Toronto, this was the perfect place to rest our feet.
More on Toronto tomorrow!
