Well, hello October! Where did you come from? Five days in and I am still getting used to writing “10” for the month. But, if I’m being honest, time has flown so fast I still catch myself thinking it’s “8”.
Besides the trees changing color overnight this week, football is the one reminder of fall being in full force. Saturdays are spent tailgating at our alma mater and sounds of back-to-back NFL games fill our house on Sundays. And any kind of tailgate would be incomplete without a simple cheese dip. Are you with me?
For the holidays, I like to make a baked smoked mozzarella dip, but for a football get-together, a simple recipe is all you need. So, here is my three-ingredient Hamburger Cheese Dip.
Hamburger Cheese Dip
- 1 lb ground hamburger
- 1-15 oz jar Cheese Whiz
- 1 jar salsa of your choice
– Cook hamburger in large skillet
– Place all ingredients in Crock-Pot. You can use the whole jar of salsa, or half, depending on how spicy and flavored you like it. Set on high, stirring occasionally until all ingredients are combined and dip is warm.
– Serve immediately with tortilla chips!
Maybe not diet friendly, but oh-so-good, and simple! Do you have a favorite dip recipe for fall?
