h&m.

There’s something about the season changing into fall that sparks new inspiration.  All of a sudden, I’m ready for a wardrobe change, new recipes and even a face lift for our home decor.  My kitchen has already felt the effects with this delicious potato soup recipe, so it’s time for my home & closet to catch up.

The chill in the air this morning had me eagerly reaching to the back of my closet where I realized my fall shopping is nowhere near complete.  There are too many great trends to try this season and I’m not sure where to draw the line.  I have a hard time containing myself when it comes to fall fashion, but over the years I’ve tried to become a bit more savvy while shopping.  My secret?  Spending more on basics that will last at least a few years and spending less on trendy pieces that may only last one season.

That’s where H&M comes in.  Since we don’t have one locally, my visits are less frequent, but their online store makes it easy for me to find a few seasonal picks at very reasonable prices.  After scouring their site and deciding which trends I wanted to spend less on, I created my must-have list.

Trumpet Sleeves Blouse – $17.99
Dress With Zips – $49.99

Utility Shirt – $29.99
Suede Cap – $12.99

I never thought I’d say it, but I’m really into baseball caps right now.  This suede one will be perfect for messy hair days and adding a sporty touch to almost any look.

Rib-Knit Dress – $34.99
Patchwork Jeans – $49.99

Flounced Lace Top – $34.99
Imitation Suede Biker Jacket – $69.99

Texture is my favorite element in any fall outfit.  I’m loving the lace ruffles on the top above and the velvet skirt below is an absolute score for $14.99!

Narrow Scarf – $7.99
Velvet Skirt – $14.99

Do you have any go-to retailers when you don’t want to break the bank?  I’d love to hear about them in the comments below!

Happy shopping!

In love with that trumpet sleeve blouse and the patchwork jeans! I live walking distance to an H&M and I’m thinking I might need to stop in…

That blouse is en route to my door step, I cannot wait! And you are so lucky to live within walking distance to an H&M! Or maybe that’s dangerous 🙂
