lazy maple pull-aparts.

Happy Labor Day!

I’ve arrived back home after a bachelorette party getaway in Nashville and my plans revolve around laundry and quality time with the husband.  And most likely some serious Netflix + chill.  We’re treating our extra day like our version of a perfect Sunday, so a tasty breakfast was mandatory.

My cookbook is stocked with recipes from my mom and whenever I make one, a memory from growing up comes with it.  This Lazy Maple Pull-Aparts recipe reminds me of waking up on fall weekends to the smell of warm maple syrup, knowing our Saturday morning would start out slow with breakfast, coffee and one-of-a-kind harvest views.  So making them on Labor Day seemed fitting while we’re getting ready to say goodbye to summer.

Here is what you’ll need.

  • 1/4 cup margarine or butter (I used unsalted butter)
  • 1/4 cup firmly packed brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons maple syrup
  • 1 can tub biscuits
  • 1 tablespoon sugar + 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon (mixed)

Butter, brown sugar and syrup go into the oven for 3 to 4 min.  Once melted, blend well.

Use the cinnamon + sugar to coat the biscuits and place in pan.

Bake and let rest.

Flip out onto pan and serve! Best enjoyed with coffee.

Lazy Maple Pull-Aparts

  • 1/4 cup margarine or butter
  • 1/4 cup firmly packed brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons maple syrup
  • 1 can tub biscuits
  • 1 tablespoon sugar + 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon (mixed)

– Preheat the oven to 375 degrees
– Using an 8 or 9 inch non-greased pan, melt the butter, brown sugar and maple syrup together in oven for 3-4 minutes.  Blend well.
– Remove biscuits from package and dip sides of each in sugar + cinnamon mixture. Make sure to coat them well!
– Arrange biscuits in pan and sprinkle with any remaining sugar
– Bake for 17-23 minutes.  Very important: cool 1 minute
– Flip onto serving plate and serve warm!

Enjoy.
