Old photos are the best.
We got to spend a few hours with grandma today looking through old photo albums. A collection of black and white pictures featuring relatives from the 20s, 30s, 40s and so on. It is humbling to see these generations before you – thinking about how much has changed over the decades. I can’t help but try to bring the pictures to life in my head. What were they doing that day? What were their conversations like?
This is my grandma as a baby and then as a little girl. Isn’t she the cutest?
I’m blessed to be able to look through these with her sitting next to me. Her stories are unmatched and I will anyone who is able, to spend time with their elders. Never forget where you came from – it’s what made you the person you are today.
